How to Connect IRD7100 MPT to Cloud?
IRD7100 MPT (Machinery Protection Transmitter) is a wall mounted Transmitter. It can be ordered for Vibration, Temperature, Speed or Gap Monitoring. It is built to work as a standalone device without any dependency on Cloud. However, if someone wishes to connect the IRD7100 MPT to Cloud like Zoho IOT - it is possible and following is how it will be achieved:
- Ensure IRD7100 MPT is Monitoring and Functioning properly
- Connect the 0-5 V DC or 4-20 mA output of IRD7100 MPT to a V DC to MODBUS OR 4-20 mA to MODBUS Converter.
- Connect the MODBUS RTU or MODBUS TCP/IP Output of the Converter to a Gateway that will then transmit the MODBUS data in MQTT to Cloud via 2G/4G/Wifi/Ethernet. The MODBUS Converter and Gateway can be neatly enclosed and terminated within a Junction Box (IOT Junction Box)
- The Gateway with MQTT protocol can be added as a Device in Zoho IOT cloud and Data from IRD7100 MPT will be available for Cloud Monitoring
- User can apply Widgets, Dashboards, Alarms and Reports to their liking in the Zoho IOT Cloud
