Introduction to IRD7100 MPT (Machinery Protection Transmitter)

IRD7100 MPT (Machinery Protection Transmitter) is a Field Mountable and Wall Mountable Transmitter. It can be factory configured for Vibration, Temperature, Speed, Gap or Turbine Monitoring. It boasts the following features:

1. Can be ordered for 24 V DC Input Power Supply or 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz, Single Phase Input Power Supply
   
2. Can be ordered to be Single Channel, Dual Channel, Three Channel or Four Channel
   
3. Can be ordered with or without Display
   
4. Can be ordered in Al Die Cast, Polycarbonate, Thermoplastic, ABS, SS or FRP enclosure
   
5. Provides Isolated 4-20 mA output per channel
   
6. Provides 0-5 V DC per channel
   
7. Can be ordered with or without Buffered Output per Channel
   
8. Has 2 sets of Alarm Relay Contacts and Trip Relay Contacts per Channel with user configurable setpoints
   
9. Has an OK Relay per channel indicating Channel Healthiness

Features and Specifications of IRD7100 MPT

Input Power to IRD7100 MPT

IRD7100 MPT can be ordered for DC Input Power Supply 24 V DC or Grounded AC Input Power Supply 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz, Single Phase. The consumption by each Transmitter is less than 24W.

4-20 mA Output

IRD7100 MPT provides 4-20 mA isolated output per channel proportional to full scale range rated for 250 Ohms max resistance.

0-5 V DC Output

IRD7100 MPT provides 0-5 V DC output per channel proportional to full scale range rated for 1000 Ohms max resistance

Buffered Time Waveform Output

IRD7100 MPT can be ordered with or without Buffered Time Waveform Output. The output is made available on BNC if ordered. The buffered output is 1:1 copy of Input signal.

Alarm Relay Contacts

IRD7100 MPT has 2 sets of Potential Free Alarm Relay Contacts per channel wherein the setpoint can be configured. The contacts are rated at 5A resistive @ 230V AC Normally de-energized (non fail safe). The Relay Automatically resets when the signal level falls below the set point.

Trip Relay Contacts

IRD7100 MPT has 2 sets of Potential Free Trip Relay Contacts per channel wherein the setpoint can be configured. Set-point Adjustable between 5% and 100% of Full Scale via Trim-pot within Enclosure. One Independent Relay per channel, 2 sets contacts (NO, C and NC) rated at 5A resistive

@ 230V AC Normally de-energized (non fail safe). Automatically resets when the signal level falls below the set point

OK Relay Contacts

IRD7100 MPT has 1 set of OK Relay Contact (NO and C) per channel made available on Terminals 8 and 9. Independent Reed Relay. Contact Rating 0.25 A resistive @ 28 V DC. When > 5% of the Full Scale signal is attained - the relay gets energized
