Enclosure
IRD8100 MPT is made within an Aluminium Die Cast IP65 rated enclosure of size 330 x 230 x 181 mm
IRD8100 MPT is equipped with a Regulated Power Supply (RPS) that has a max power rating of 40W and accepts Input Power 90-270 V AC, 50/60 Hz, Single Phase and generated the needed 24 V DC Power for IRD8100 MPT to Function.
When ordered for Casing Vibration Monitoring - IRD8100 MPT can accept Accelerometer (mV/g) or Velometer (mV/mm/sec) input. When ordered for Relative Shaft Vibration Monitoring - IRD8100 MPT can accept Non-Contact Eddy Current Probe as Input (mV/um).
Outputs
IRD8100 MPT provides the following outputs per channel:
- 4-20 mA output proportional to Full Scale
- 2 Sets of Potential free Alarm Relay Contacts
- 2 Sets of Potential free Trip Relay Contacts
- 1 set of Potential Free Tx Fail Relay Contacts for both channels
- MODBUS RTU/TCP Output
How to use IRD8100 MPT
Mounting
We recommend 4 nos x SS-M6 Bolt with M6 Nylock Nut. Thread & Length of Bolt is dependent on the Thickness of the Plate/ Surface on which the MPT will be mounted.
Connecting Power
Input Power 90-270 V AC, 50/60 Hz, Single Phase is to be connected at designated Power Input Terminals L, N and E on the Regulated Power Supply Input
Connecting Sensor
Input Vibration Sensor to be connected at Designated Sensor Input Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4 for Channel 1 and 25, 26, 27 and 28 for Channel 2. The terminals denote:
Terminal Number | Purpose |
1 | Signal Input Channel 1 |
| 2 | Signal Ground Channel 1 |
3 | Aux Power 24 V DC Channel 1 |
4 | Shield Channel 1 |
25 | Signal Input Channel 2 |
26 | Signal Ground Channel 2 |
27 | Aux Power 24 V DC Channel 2 |
28 | Shield Channel 2 |

For Accelerometers and Velometers that are IEPE type and two-wired - Terminals 1 and 3 need to be looped for Channel 1 and Terminals 25 and 27 need to be looped for Channel 2
