What is the Sensitivity on an Air Gap Sensor sensing an Air Gap of 0-50 mm?

Air Gap Sensors are Non-Contact type Sensors that work on Eddy Current principle. They are used to sense the change in Air Gap. One particular use case is a Hydro Turbine wherein Air Gap Sensors are placed in 4 locations - 2 along service bay (opposite to each other) and 2 along downstream (opposite to each other). This way uneven air gap (if any) can be detected and the Hydro Turbine can be protected from Rotor coming in contact with Stator and catastrophic failure.

When the Air Gap to be measured ranges from 0-50 mm - then the sensitivity of the Air Gap Sensor is kept at 0.4 V/mm. This way when the gap reaches 50 mm - the output Voltage reaches 20 V DC. This linear variation of Voltage between 0 V DC and 20 V DC is monitored by an Air Gap Transmitter or Monitor.
