What is a Casing Vibration Accelerometer?

Casing Vibration is the measurement of Vibration of the bearing casing or general casing of a rotary machine such as Motor, Pump, Fan, Compressor or Turbine.

Info
A Casing Vibration Accelerometer is a type of Vibration Sensor that provides a Voltage Output proportional to Vibration Acceleration.

Since the Voltages are typically small in magnitude - they are reported in mV and acceleration is reported in g. Thus, casing vibration accelerometers are denoted with sensitivities in mV/g. The common option being 100 mV/g. Other options like 10 mV/g and 500 mV/g are also available.
