IRD811 - Instrument does not turn ON
In rare cases, if your
IRD811 Vibration Meter does not turn ON, it could be because of the following reasons:
- Wear and Tear of your Battery Snappers causing loss of contact
- Installed Batteries having insufficient voltage or loss of energy capacity of the batteries
- Fault in the Power Control Rotary Switch
- Amplitude Meter has gone bad. The instrument is ON, but because of faulty amplitude meter, you are unable to tell whether or not the meter has turned ON
These problems can be solved by:
- Replacing the Battery Snappers - requires skill and opening up of the instrument. Recommended to be done by a trained technician
- Replacing the batteries with fresh 9V batteries or recharging the batteries in case of rechargeable batteries - does not require special skills and can be done by anyone
- Replacing or repairing the Power Control Rotary Switch - requires skill and opening up of the instrument. Recommended to be done by a trained technician
- Repairing or Replacing the Amplitude Meter - requires skill and opening up of the instrument. Recommended to be done by a trained technician
