How to Operate IRD306DP

IRD306DP is a Digital Vibration Meter that allows for measurement of General Machinery Vibration. It works with the Velometer IRD531. The following steps list the method of operating an IRD306DP.
  1. Step 1: Insert two numbers of 9 V Batteries (chargeable or rechargeable - any will do) in the battery compartment. Ensure a Snug Fit with the Battery Snappers
  2. Step 2: Connect the supplied cable to the instrument and its other end to IRD531. Ensure not to damage the connector or pins in the process (do not apply excess force. Use the guide vanes for a smooth and proper connection)
  3. Step 3: Connect the Magnet or Stinger to the Sensor IRD531 and ensure that the accessory is completely tight (a loose magnet or stinger will interfere with measurements)
  4. Step 4: Turn on the Meter using its power switch and select the mode (Velocity or Displacement) in which you wish to measure the vibration
  5. Step 5: Place the sensor on the equipment on which the vibration is to be measured. Allow the readings to settle for 2 seconds. Observe the readings and note it down for future reference.
IRD306DP reads Vibration Velocity in mm/sec RMS and Vibration Displacement in microns peak-peak
