How to connect Vibration Sensor Input to IRD7400 LPT?

IRD7400 is our Din Rail mountable Single Channel Loop Powered Vibration Transmitter. It works with Vibration Sensors like Accelerometers and Velometers. To connect Vibration Sensor Input to IRD7400 LPT - follow the following steps and diagram:

Terminal and Part Number of IRD7400

  1. Mount the IRD7400 on Din Rail
  2. Provide Loop Power 24 V DC to terminals 3 (-) and 4 (+). The Power On LED should now glow on front of the Transmitter
  3. Connect the Signal of Vibration Sensor cable to terminal 2 (+) designated for Sensor Input
  4. Connect the Ground of Vibration Sensor cable to terminal 1 (-) designated for Sensor Input
  5. If Steps 3 and 4 are done correctly - then the DC Voltage between terminals 2 and 1 shall come between 8 V DC and 16 V DC. This is an indication of Healthiness of Input Sensor and its cable
The Transmitter is then ready to provide 4-20 mA output in series at terminals 4 and 3 in the same loop as Input power.
